On 1 Dec. 1868 Ritty (Collins) Gibson purchased a tract of land from deft. for $500, paying $100 down & giving Seal 1 note for $100 & another for $300. Plntff. has since learned that most of the land she bought belongs to Nancy Collins except for a few acres. The notes, which are now due, have been transferred to Lewis M. Jarvis. Plntff. wants Court to cancel the notes & see that they are returned to her, & force Seal to refund her $100. |

They stole three hams, four sides of hog, totally two hundred pounds of pork valued at $24. The two had stolen the pork, then taken it off of the property stashing it in a nearby haystack. |

Defendant, Felix Beazly, Nashville Public Weigher, claimed road work interfered with the scales. Defendants were indicted by grand jury for assault and battery. Ben Beazley plead guilty to the indictment. Case went forward as State v. Felix Beazley. Defendant claimed self defense, but jury found him guilty. |

The plaintiff's father, William Rucker (dec.), left her several tracts of land, a portion of which she deeded over to William Malicout. A deed was made out to the defendant by Malicout, cutting the plaintiff out of her share of the land. The making of said deed without the plaintiff's knowledge was a fraudulent move and she alone held rights to the land and her husband's debt to Jamagin led to the trespass. |
