Z. was involved in 1864 capture of Young Harris, who was charged as Federal spy. Z. had to flee the county & turned the land over to R. R. was named in a damage suit by a Union soldier, Cox. Cox beat & threatened him and R. fled, leaving the land for Z. to care for. Upon their return, the brothers attempted to settle the land dispute. 267 pages in ET1936 |
