Other defendant is Talbert (Tolbert) Fanning. Baker is the administrator of John E. Baker, deceased. Tolbert Fanning was a preacher and educator, a proponent of the Restoration Movement (Church of Christ) and founder of Franklin College. Fanning had died and both defendants had also died by this time, so this is a case of one estate suing two others. See possibly related case in MT 1069.
