The case concerns a shipment of strawberries, in what was supposed to be a refrigerated car, to Boston. Along the way, part of a train slammed into this car, bruising and crushing many of the berries, and damaging the refrigeration so that by the time the berries arrived in Boston, they were so badly damaged they could not be sold. |

The defendant, 17 years old, was assisting in the repair of a belt which turned an emery wheel when his arm became lodged in-between several pieces or rotating machinery and seriously injured. Defendant complains that the plaintiff did not operate appropriate care or warn him of the dangers involved in his work. |

This case involves the title to a horse. Said horse was purchased by Ben Doss (col.) from John Boaz, brother of Sallie B. Barton, wife of C. L. Barton. Sallie Barton was also surety on said note. According to plaintiffs, Doss was to pay the note by completing work in their farm. Plaintiffs complain that Doss sold the horse to the defendant without ever working at the farm or paying for the horse. Plaintiffs are seeking ownership of the horse. |

Carrol & Co. went out of business before the house was complete and some of their creditors are trying to claim Lister's property to settle the company's debt since W.W. Carrol purchased the lot in his own name. |
