View Entry | 1894 | B. D. Brabson v. Riverside Improvement Company | Knox | Fraud |
Incomplete case includes six-page reply brief for defendant. It denied charges it committed fraud and misrepresentations to induce the purchase of two lots. Lilly Avenue in Knoxville was to be graded and an electric car line built down Yale Avenue by May 1, 1890. Brabson swore in support of his bill, but said W. K. McClure and W. H. Simonds made the misrepresentations. Oddly, a memo that Brabson put into evidence did not even refer to an electric car line. Brabson's claim of fraud was not proven. |
