Defendant complained that the plaintiffs failed to compensate him for his services and instituted a suit for attachment. Plaintiffs appealed. |

Stratmann, Admin.) and a 380-page Chester County Circuit Court case (Carolyn Ronsey v. Mobile & Ohio Rail Road Co.). The case number was on a loose sheet in the folder, so it is possible that it does not belong to this case. The suit was filed to recover $5000 damages for the "wrongful killing" of claimant's husband, Dave Rensey when he was walking along the track. |

Alleged their firm's reputation & good credit damaged by a notice issued by bank charging them with failure to pay their debts. Notice printed on post card that was allegedly displayed to various persons. Bank maintained this type of notification a common practice with no malice intended & that card was not publicly displayed. File in two parts. |

Phipps sought to recover 25-30 thousand feet of oak and poplar lumber from O. B. Bynum. Phipps owned a portable steam saw mill and agreed to saw and stack 1 million feet of logs for Bynum, who would furnish the wood at yards on the Clay Solitude farm. A contract gave Phipps a lien on the lumber until his bill was paid, but it was never registered. Phipps sawed and stacked about 800,000 feet. Bynum took part of the lumber to raft to market, but Richardson levied it to satisfy an execution on Bynum. |

Plaintiff claims that he took his horse to the defendant, a blacksmith, to be shod. When the horse became lame, the owner discovered that a nail had been driven into the quick of the horse's foot.
