Gaar Scott & Co was a corporation based in Indiana that sold agricultural machinery. Dispute involved a separator sold for $150 on a promissory note. Plaintiff was seeking lien on property because they claimed the defendant's farm was insolvent. The defendants claimed the equipment was defective/worthless and the guarantee was not made good. They are countersuing for sale price, plus interest and repair costs, $375.
