Lizzie Barry, a resident of Crittenden Co., AR, sued railroad for $30,000 in death of her only child, George Allen Langdon. Langdon died on 12 Nov. 1900 in Crittenden Co., AR when he was removed from the train in which he was riding for refusing to pay his fare. Barry states her son, who was "sick & helpless at the time" was left in a remote area with no choice but to walk on the tracks; Langdon was struck & killed by a train. Barry charges railroad with wrongdoing & negligence in his death. |

The plaintiff said he was humiliated by being thrown off into the street with everyone watching, had to walk to work in a storm, and was late arriving at work, causing him to fear that he might lose his job. Graves sued for $499.99. |
