Opinion only. County unknown. Case originally prosecuted over the title to about 53,640 acres of mountain lands in the counties of White, Cumberland, and DeKalb. At the litigation in this court, it involved 38,000 acres of the same land. Both parties traced their title back to Charles Newman who conveyed the land to Assure Assur, husband of Lydia C. Assur, dec. and mother of defendants.

The plaintiff was a passenger on the Memphis Street railcar when it went off the track and seriously injured him.

Case was brought to recover possession of a lot in a Shelby County subdivision.

The plaintiff claimed the defendants would force him out of business by boycotting him and intimidating his customers. The documents in the case consist only of the plaintiff's brief.

Defendants have since taken large quantities of valuable timber, using it for their own purposes or selling it & keeping proceeds for themselves & refuse to stop doing so.

Opinion only. County and court of origin are unknown. The defendant purchased a life insurance policy from Thomas W. Lewis Jr.. Lewis died and the defendant collected on the insurance policy. The plaintiff claims that the transaction between Lewis and the defendant was a speculative one on the part of the Defendant and was obnoxious to the law and violated sound public policy.

Defendant originally found guilty of beating Salina Harris with his fists on 30 Dec. 1903. Appealing sentence.

Robbins moved to Georgia and claimed to have rented property to Thompson. The court decided that by moving out of state they lost their right to their homestead, thereby forfeiting their claim to the property.
