Pla. is an employee of the Tennessee Coffin and Casket Company making $10.70 per week. Acting as an employee of said company, Pla. delivered a coffin to the Union Depot in Chattanooga. After making the delivery, Pla, was returning home in his horse drawn wagon when he was struck by a car belonging to the Def. Pla. was badly injured and spent 9 weeks in bed due to his injuries. Pla. is seeking compensation.

Add. Def. James Thompson. Fuston recovered a judgement against Ellas (also spelled Ellis) in 1902 for $56 but it was found that Ellas had no property to satisfy the debt. In 1911 a garnishment notice was served upon James M. Thompson and Robbin Bank and Trust Co. again attempt to satisfy the debt. Both parties denied being indebted to Ellas. Also mentioned are A. C. Ellas, Cora E. Vickers and Fred Ellas. A. C. Ellas is the father of Cora and Fred.
