In 1910, plaintiffs executed to Batchelor a trust deed of 109 acres to secure a note of $814.65. In 1913, the executed another trust deed on the same land for a note of $467.75. When Lackie bought the mortgages, Maweatherry issued a rent note that he failed to pay and Siler sued and levied out the crops on the land. Maweatherry filed this bill seeking to enjoin attachment for dispute. |

Cause of action: "debt due by damages for negligence in installation of a gas drum." J. G. Walker is the husband of Jeanette B. Walker. Mr. Walker operated a bakery and soda fountain in Memphis. In the operation of the soda fountain, he had to use a gas drum. He ordered a gas drum by telephone from the Moerlein Brewing Company but the order was filled by Blue Seal Ice Cream Co. When delivered, the deliveryman connected the new gas drum and it exploded. |
