Real estate was purchased in Aug. 1909 by W. J. Schenck and J. D. Fuller (deceased husband of Martha Fuller) to establish a cotton oil plant. A charter of incorporation was issued to S. & F. Cotton Oil Co. shortly after the land was purchased. Schenck and Fuller executed no deed conveying the land to the corporation. The corporation paid for improvements and taxes. The company was adjudged bankrupt in June 1915. Schenck executed a quitclaim to the trustee in bankruptcy but Mrs. Fuller refused. 4 folders. |
