Bingham signed the bond and Petty was released. After he was released, Petty was arrested in McNairy County on a separate charge of larceny. |

Walter F. McGee and Mrs. Laura McGee were appointed executor of the estate of L. W. McGee. Laura McGee was the widow of L. W. McGee. Additional complainants: Conger McGee and Mabel McGee Pope. In January, 1923, L.W. McGee deposited with the defendant 2 US Govt. Treasury notes- series C-1925. The principal sum is $1000.00 each plus interest of 4 1/2% payable in 1925. Per contract the bank was supposed to return the notes to him upon demand. The bank refuses to do so. |
