2 folders. Add. pltf: J. M. Wimmer. Add. dfnt: P. G. Hedges. The plaintiffs ran a printing business under the name Haynie-Wimmer in Memphis. Branden & Kluge was a corporation "believed to be incorporated under the laws of the State of Minnesota." The pltfs. purchased printing machinery from the dfnts. by taking out notes and giving a mortgage on other printing machinery they owned previously. The new machinery didn't work as promised. This suit was filed in an effort to set up a trust for Fanny Brenner and F. Perlman, F. Perlman & Co., after the death of Louis Brenner. It would separate certain properties from the rest of Louis Brenner's estate. Other defendant is Aaron Brenner. He and Lucille Brenner, both minors, are the only children of Louis and Fanny Brenner. |

On March 26, 1929 Globe and Rutgers Fire Insurance Company insured Henry House for a 1927 Packard Limousine against theft and pilferage. On 4-25-1929, the car was stolen from the plaintiff in the city of Memphis. When the car was returned to the plaintiff it was greatly damaged. Defendant refuses to pay damages after due notice of the claim under $500.00. |

Rugg claimed that dfnt sold his Nash automobile and kept the proceeds. Dfnt. aruged the $600 selling price was applied toward Rugg's purchase of a new 1928 Nash automobile. The also contended that the remaning balance is yet unpaid and the car is still in their possession despite multiple attempts to deliver it to pltf. Housed in 2 folders. More files in WT1135. |

Roberts, former sheriff of Roane County, was accused of imposing & collected fines for boarding prisoners which he pocketed. Testimony mentions drinking on the job as well as allowing his wife to let prisoners out in his absence. Exhibits show some prisoners were held in the workhouse for two to three times longer than they were sentenced. See add'l documentation in box ET 12. |

Pltf. sued to confirm the ownership of his land, apply an injunction against the claim of his property, collusion btwn RLC and Atty Gen., and fraudulent conveyance of land due to an inaccurate decryption of lands sold to the state by the TN Land Company. |
