The case stated that the Deputy Sheriff of Shelby County had a search warrant for a "One-story frame pig stand and tourists cottages…being the premises occupied by Bungalow City Tourist Camp." While no intoxicating liquor was found in the pig stand or cottages, the deputy sheriff did find "29 pints of white corn whiskey and 12 pints of red corn whiskey" in a "field about 75 or 100 feet south of the premises." Hoffman operated the tourist camp with his wife on property rented from James Carrigan. |
