Carr sued the insurance company to recover on his policy. Carr was a physician stationed at Elizabethton. While Carr's policy was in effect, Carr became paralyzed in his feet, legs, and hands. Defendant paid him $479.92-the amount due him for March to May 1930. Defendant refused to make further payments that plaintiff was entitled to for May to September 1930. Plaintiff suing for $1826.61. Court ruled in pla. Favor for $1350 and an additional $100 per month as long as he was totally disabled. |

Plaintiff had deposited $5000 into the Bank of Oliver Springs who executed a certificate of deposit, which was endorsed by the defendants who became liable to the plaintiff for the same. The Bank of Oliver Springs failed and was being liquidated. The reciever made payments on said certificate from time to time but $1500 remained due, which defendants had refused to pay, therefore the Peoples Bank sued. 2 folders. |
