View Entry | 1931 | Mrs. Ola Mai Bryant Cuntiff v. Roger Murray | Madison | Lien Settlement |
Roger Murray was appointed substitute trustee of property in the 4th Ward of Jackson, Madison County, Tennessee. There was a tax lien on the property, but Murray sold the property to Ola Mai Bryant Cuntiff in July 1929 for $4700. Cuntiff argued that Murray's duty was to pay the taxes due on the land, and that he did not. Cuntiff stated that Murray failed and refused to pay the said taxes, so she had to pay $149.50 in taxes. |
