Nancy Bailey's husband, Bernie, was an employee of the defendant when he inhaled some kind of gas, causing him to become sick and die. Nancy sued for Workmen's Compensation for the death of her husband.

Add. Plaintiffs: Alice Newman, Glen Newman, Garrett Newman, Ed Newman, and Gertrude Newman, minors who sue by W. G. Newman. W. G. & Alice Newman are the parents of Sam Newman (dec'd), who was employed by the defendant and on whom the minors were wholly dependent. In 1930 while on the job, S. Newman came into contact with certain bacilli germs in the drinking water furnished by the defendant and died as a result. His death was within the parameters for the Workmen's Compensation Act of Tennessee, unpaid.
