Minor child Virgil Howard Cantrell, 12, was riding in a school bus operated by H. E. Hudson when Hudson stopped, causing the boy to be thrown out the open emergency door. Virgil was said to have suffered great physical pain and anguish; he died a few hours later. Photographs of the bus and road were introduced as evidence.
