Pltf. sued for $421 as money paid on an Armstrong Marque Ampico Piano #89703, per state law dfnt. regained possession of piano, thus owed pltf. amount paid on said good. Ex. mat: letters, receipt/contract, pmt. records/receipts, etc. Dfnt. counter-sued for debt.

The defendant hired the plaintiff to haul certain personal furniture belonging to one Mr. Weatherly, the brother of the defendant's wife, for the sum of $75.00. The defendant failed to pay the fee upon delivery and was ruled against in a Johnson City court to pay the fee, but still failed to pay, resulting in the current case.

This suit was originally brought by the defendant in error against the plaintiff in error to recover debt due from the purchase of furniture on an installment plan. When he became unable to pay, the plaintiff notified the defendant who then repossessed and sold said furniture. There is a questions as to whether or not the plaintiff waived his right to have the furniture sold at public auction as provided by law.

Defendant in error ran a mercantile business on Depot Street in Greeneville, Tennessee, in a building owned by Bob Bird. Defendant sold his entire stock of goods to the Plaintiff in error for $5,800. Plaintiff paid $3,000 and was to pay $500 each month thereafter. Defendant claims Plaintiff failed to pay the full agreed upon amount and is seeking payment.

Defendants are indebted to the plaintiff for the consideration of a certain mortgage in the sum of $650.00.

Additional defendants: Herrin-Leach Repair Co., G. Emmett Herrin, F. Bailey, and Paris Leach. W.P. Leach sued defendants for debt due by note $125. Pla. Recovered $125 fro Arwood, Herrin & Leach for $50 and Bailey for $50. Leach appealed.

Plea of debt due by borrowed money or money lent to the defendants by the plaintiff fro $380 with interest. Exhibits include checks. Court is Law Court at Johnson City. No other court mentioned.

Defendants are justly indebted to the plaintiff by notes totaling $476.16.

Plaintiff is sued the defendant in an action of debt for the insurance policy on the life of James K. Brown (dec'd), of whom the plaintiff is the widow. Policy was for $1,000 and subject to 6% interest from 1928, amounting to $1,250.00.

Plaintiff is the stepmother of the Defendant. Case file also notes that the Plaintiff's husband is deceased and that she has two daughters who are the half-sisters of the defendant. The plaintiff and her daughters lived with the defendant after the death of her husband. Plaintiff sued the defendant for debt due by loan. Case file includes an East Tennessee National Bank Account Book.

Situated at 102 Tipton St., known as "American Lunch Room," having been used for years as restaurant, then occupied by the plaintiff Boyd. Debt due by rent, $50.00, October 31, 1931.

Pltf. sued to recover $25 debt due as attorney's fees in the matter of R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. v. McDaniels.

Plaintiff is sued to recover a debt for services rendered as a teacher during the year 1931 in said county for four and a half months of work at $45.00 per month.
