Plaintiff is the administrator of the estate of John Willard Phillips, a minor (dec'd), who was employed by the defendant as a newsboy. He went in the elevator on their property to an upper floor when he was struck on the head by an abrupt projection of the wall of the elevator shaft, mangling his head and body between the steel frame and woodwork of the elevator and causing him to hang suspended in the shaft by a leg, all while conscious for a time. Plaintiff sued for $25,000 in damages. |

Defendant was a dental surgeon who worked on the plaintiff on an extraction of two teeth. While working on removing a third tooth, the defendant negligently and roughly jerked and twisted the same in such a rough manner that he broke the plaintiff's jaw in two places. Plaintiff eventually went to another dentist to extract the same after the defendant took a hammer to strike the tooth. She had to have her jaw wired, unable to take solid food and suffered malnutrition. Suing for $25,000 in medical costs. |

Mrs. Tipton holds Bob Meredith responsible as he loaned his son the car that he was driving when he hit Jake Tipton, although he knew Glen Meredith was intoxicated at the time.
