Fitzgerald was accused of the felonious and willful first degree shooting murder of Dorsey McMillan on Sept. 24, 1933. Fitzgerald appealed his initial conviction of 2nd Degree Murder. McMillan is variously spelled McMillian, McMilland, etc. Fitzgerald and McMillan got into a fight during a craps game, Fitzgerald came back with a shot gun and killed McMillan. |

The dfnts. were accused of the first-degree shooting murder of Roscoe Wilmeuth on Dec. 20, 1931. Maze is spelled variously as Mays. Wilmeuth had warrants issued for Jess Martin and Denver Holcomb. Wilmeuth was looking for someone to serve Martin the paper at the time of the shooting. As he was dying, Roscoe identified Maze Martin as the shooter. |
