Charlie Spoon fired two shots at Roy Helton killing him. The incident occurred outside of Helton's restaurant and filling station. Although Spoon had a gun, Helton had only a glass Coca Cola bottle. Spoon was obviously drunk and swearing at Helton. Witnesses testified that the Coca Cola bottle could have been used as a weapon, and was a threat to Spoon's life. |

Robert Julian asked Howard Arnett to go home from the church house and get his shot gun so they could squirrel hunt. When he returned, John Robert and Dayton came out of the church and said to shoot. Howard raised his gun multiple times, finally firing with his eyes closed. He went home and admitted to his father he had killed John Arnett. |

Fitzgerald was accused of the felonious and willful first degree shooting murder of Dorsey McMillan on Sept. 24, 1933. Fitzgerald appealed his initial conviction of 2nd Degree Murder. McMillan is variously spelled McMillian, McMilland, etc. Fitzgerald and McMillan got into a fight during a craps game, Fitzgerald came back with a shot gun and killed McMillan. |

Though not listed on the title, Clarence Snider was also accused with West. They were accused of the unlawful murder of Oscar Climer on April 7, 1933. West appealed his initial conviction. Climer took his 5 year old son, Walter, with him to chop wood. State relied on Walter's testimony for trial. Walter said West and Climer got into a fight, West left and got a gun, then came back and shot Climer. West is variously listed as Wess. |

The dfnts. were accused of the first-degree shooting murder of Roscoe Wilmeuth on Dec. 20, 1931. Maze is spelled variously as Mays. Wilmeuth had warrants issued for Jess Martin and Denver Holcomb. Wilmeuth was looking for someone to serve Martin the paper at the time of the shooting. As he was dying, Roscoe identified Maze Martin as the shooter. |
