He insists the cleaning fluids he uses are commonly used by housewives, as well as by other dry cleaners, who are not facing the same legal actions. |

Shipe & Co. petitioned the court to stop Long's garnishment on grounds that Ellison's wages had been assigned to them before Long's notice was filed. |

Suit originally brought by S. L. Bivens on behalf of Lake Bivens. On 19 Oct. 1933, Lake Bivens, then 17, was riding a motorcycle belonging to Johnny Bivens, his brother, also a minor. A car driven by Frost pulled into his path so suddenly that he was unable to avoid it, resulting in a collision. Lake Bivens sued Frost for $5000 in damages for personal injury; Johnny Bivens sued for damages to his motorcycle under $500. |
