During an argument over money, the Martins & Frank Peery assaulted Connie Sullivan (male) with a gun and shot him to death. They were convicted of voluntary manslaughter. Top binding could not be removed w/o damage to the document. Exhibit accompanying Mrs. Sullivan's testimony is a hand-drawn floor plan of the house in which the murder took place. Individuals who were standing in the room are identified by one initial each. Floor plan is on the back of a Raulstons Dry Cleaning shirt box. |

Prior to 1934, Hal Burem owned a valuable tract of land. Hal sold half of the land (85.5 acres) to J.P. Burem for $10,750. Plaintiffs asserted that full payment of purchase money was made. Plaintiffs charged that Hal refused to execute a deed to them and were suing for possession of land and rents due. 2 folders. |
