George W L Marr presumably Sr. died leaving a plot of land and his heirs sued Sampson who alleged that he owned the land through a tax title. said Sampson lost the circuit court case partially because he did not poses the original copy of the deed. Sampson alleged that the land was passed out of the hands of George W L Marr in the fiscal year 1848. |

Coover "transferred by quit claim deed to defendant A. P. Ford, said house and lot." Latta is an attorney representing some creditors of Sawyer. |

Stewart & C company under Capt. Thos. C. Buchanan. Forrest told Stewart to recruit men and horses in W. TN by force if needed for the army at Tupelo. Sorrell fled as he found out Lt. Thurmond & a squad of men were coming to take him and his horse. Thurmond took his horse. |

McGinnis & Company "for the purpose of clearing the right of way along the main ditch and certain laterals." A time limit for completion of the project as well as a set penalty for delay was included in the contract. McGinnis appealed to the Board of Directors for and extension. The request was denied. |
