Spencer Beavers (dec), as county sheriff & collector, sold 93 acres owned by Isaac Fyffe heirs that adjoined Walker Reservation, which land went through several conveyances ending with purchase by Brock, but each deed had same clerical error in the description. Brock says heirs (Def.. Mees & Fyffes) knew of sale yet have tried to claim land due to this error. |

Bird bought 585 acres from Carnes. Dispute arose over boundary lines on the land. Then Carnes sued Bird on the purchase money note. Bird filed this suit to enjoin Carnes from prosecuting that suit until dispute resolved. Bird died while suit ongoing & James S. Pankey was appointed his administrator. |

Before he died, Eli agreed to buy from George Gallagher land on Grassy Creek as home for his family & procured Ellis to help him do that. Before time for payment elapsed, Eli died, at which time he was in possession of the land. Dispute over title ensued. |

In 1857 Alexander Lowe as trustee for his wife Susan leased lot in Nashville to Buchanan Lanier, under the agreement that Lanier would build a house of market value $17,000. The lease was to end in 1867, & the house was to be turned over to Lowe. He was also to make annual payments. Although the house was built, Lanier became insolvent failing to pay the rent. Lowe assigned his rights to the property to Noel who sued to recover the debt. |
