Hudson's bus carriage and horses had been left unattended with Mary inside, and the team ran away, turning over the carriage, causing Mary's leg and shoulder to be broken. Mary had hired Hudson's carriage to take her from Nashville to her home on Woodland Street in Edgefield. Testimony describes cultural landscape of area. |

Sampson alleged that the land was passed out of the hands of George W L Marr in the fiscal year 1848. |

Baugh claimed he only contracted for 24,185 lbs. of cotton for which he overpaid plaintiff by $1273.75. Jury verdict against defendant and damages of $1863.86 awarded in Circuit Court. Supreme Ct. held record overwhelming supported the jury's verdict. |

Opinion only. Sharp had sold and gave his title bond to a tract of land that contained a schoolhouse. Sharp later had Hamner sign a release in order for the schoolhouse and lot to be given to the public. Hamner charged Sharp with defrauding him and claiming it as his private property and for offering to sell it. Hamner wanted Sharp to deliver up the release and that he be credited the value of the schoolhouse on his note for the purchase money. |
