White sought to purchase 12 acres of land from Joseph Rouhs. He then sold his interest in the 12 acres to Edward Nixon, who was supposed to settle the debt with Rouhs. Nixon didn't pay off debt, so Rouhs brought suit against White & won judgment against him. The land was sold at a court-ordered sale & Helen Nixon bought the land at the sale. |

In 1878 Jordan recovered a judgment against Bond at the Wilson County circuit court for the sum of $1233.85. A tract of land Bond owned was levied against the judgment, but it was not sold, simply held. The sheriff had been unable to sell the land and attempted a sale venditioni exponas. The suit was filed to recover the land, and to have the debt repaid in full, rather than at whatever amount the land sale could garner. Unknown page count in MT6. There are 147 pages in MT1144. |
