Complainant contracted with defendant to build a stone foundation for a new Church at a given price. Defendant denies that ehy contracted to give him anything for the excavation of the earth or stone but would pay him for building the foundation.

Plaintiffs sued to compel the sale of two tracts of land in Benton Co. sold at public sale by Ira L. Presson. The plaintiffs and defendants in this case are in dispute as to whether or not contractors had complied with their contracts and whether they were entitled to further pay for work and labor and materials funded in said contract. The contractors where hired to build a building on a lot in Shelby County. It appears that it was not completed as specified and inferior work was done. In particular there were problems with plumbing and ventilation.

Arnold contracted with Oman to build a house for him for $15,000. Oman charged with unreasonable delays & poor workmanship. Arnold had to pay additional $3,000 to complete the home & correct poor construction. He sued to recoup lost funds. Contract also allowed deductions for failure to complete project on time. Oman attributed delay to slow work on part of Brinton's Stone Quarry at Thornbury, Chester, PA. George Oman listed as son of John Oman, was foreman & superintendent of the work.

Additional Defendants: L. B. Lesh, H. M. Neely, J. T. Fargason, Jesse G. Falls, and Mary Fargason Falls. Olson and Lesh were partners in a construction firm contracted (along with plaintiff) to do repairs on a building owned by the other defendants. Page count does not include published materials.

Wallace hauled longs for John Anderson with an agreed upon price. Anderson did not have money to pay Wallace. They agreed that Wallace would take the logs and sell them in Nashville and take his payment from there and give Anderson the remaining money. Plaintiff then conveyed said logs to the defendant whose own logs got mixed with Plaintiff's logs when they both went the mixture. Plaintiff claims that he still has rights to the logs because of his contract with Anderson.

Plaintiff was contracted to build two bridges in Hardeman County. Upon completion, he was never paid, he is sued for $3500 for labor and materials.

Plaintiff claimed that defendants owed him money for construction of a house for defendants. House was located in Memphis.

The plaintiff was hired by the defendant to move several houses from one location in Memphis to another.

The plaintiffs agreed to furnish defendants with granite for a job which the defendants stopped without paying for the full amount.

Wright to work on the rail road, but was not paid all of the contracted amount. Sued for $2701.81. Documents are not in very good condition. Parts of several pages are missing. Case concerns a contract dispute and filing of a mechanics lien due to Cain and Capel not paying for materials used to build a house for the plaintiffs. Date is not exact, but is the last year the original cased was heard. The cover page with Supreme Court date and docket number is missing.

Complainant was in the employment of the defendant and there was an agreed upon wages for a year's contract. The complainant claims that the defendant breached their contract and did not pay the agreed upon wages for labor.

This case involves a dispute over a certain amount of money due from the construction of a warehouse. This case consists of 12 volumes. The volumes are not foldered within the box.
