This case file is an appeal for a new trial from a case where plaintiff in error was charged with murder.

C. F. Williams was the Road Superintendent for Henry County. Collins sued for damages due to unmaintained roads and won. This case is Williams sued for a new trial in attempt to overturn the original verdict. Damages listed as value of $25.00. Defendant is also listed as Ernest Collins on case docket # 21590. All items filed in same folder as they appear to be the same case. One case was filed in Henry County Law #1 and the other in Henry County Law #2.

In the original case, Darnell was accused of unlawfully, willfully and feloniously and maliciously assaulting, beating and wounding a person with a unlawful and deadly weapon which was held in the hand with the malicious and felonious intent to kill and murder against the peace of the state. This is an appeal for a new trial.

Tamble was previously tried on an indictment that charged him with a violation of the "Bone Dry Law", saying he had unlawfully in his possession liquor. He housed the liquor in a space publicly known as "Tamble's Garage". File contains the appeal, citing insufficient evidence for his conviction and fine.

R. B. Riggs surviving partner of N. C. Riggs & Son. Plaintiff earlier brought suit against defendant and won. Details of this lawsuit are not given.

The estate of Lyons is seeking payment on a note made by Christian. Christian originally made the note in order to borrow money to partially pay for a slave boy purchased from Levi Lynch. There is an issue of whether the note was to be repaid in Confederate money or U.S. Dollars.
