The circuit court found him guilty of assault w/ "intent to commit voluntary manslaughter" and sentenced him to one year in the state penitentiary. |

Landers charged with making as assault and battery upon Jonah Henderson by shooting him in and upon the head. The bullet went in the corner of his left eye and came out the right temple, making him blind in both eyes. He was shot in the cherry orchard picking some cherries. The exhibit includes a beautiful illustration of the scene of the crime with cherry trees and a springhouse. Landers was convicted of assault with intent to commit voluntary manslaughter; he was sentenced to 2 years in penitentiary. |

William alias Bud Miller. Plaintiff in error is accused of assaulting Levi Vogle with a knife. According to Vogle, plaintiff and William Fry came to his home late at night and asked for a drink of water. Upon entering the home, Vogel states that Miller began arguing with him and refused to leave, eventually producing a knife. In Vogle's home at the time of the incident were Vogel's wife, his step daughter Lizzie Vogel, and a boarder named Laura Ruble. |
