Hickerson was accused of the felonious assault of one Jimmie Sims. At a party at the home of J. J. Sims, a dropped coin led to an argument that ended when Hickerson supposedly used a razor or other sharp object to cut Jimmie Sims across the face leaving a deep cut and eventual scar. Hickerson claimed self-defense, State claimed it was an unprovoked attack. |

Bingham was accused of the felonious assault of one Orville Montgomery. Montgomery, the prosecutor, gathered a group of friends and family to guard some beer which had been found on dfnt.'s property. Bingham was accused of shooting and injuring Carmon Montgomery in the abdomen. Montgomery testified he went to Buster Bingham's looking for whiskey, but Buster was not home, so he left and headed to his grandmother's but was shot by dfnt. along the way.
