Deft. was charged with assaulting M. (Mollie) J. Kiker on 8 Sept. 1879. On that date the deft., who was drunk, tried to enter Mollie Kiker's home. When she refused to let him enter and held the door against him, the deft. broke the door down, dislocating Mollie Kiker's shoulder when he did so. |

Lyons convicted of assaulting his wife Edith, fined $400, sentenced to 60 days in workhouse. Edith was a reluctant witness for the state, who claimed Lyons knocked Edith down as she was going up the street & picked her up by her hair. He then hit her in the mouth while they were in the patrol wagon. Edith claimed she fell down & denied he hit her in the mouth. They had been married about a year at the time. |

Gaines was accused of assaulting Charles Castleman, prosecuting attorney in this case. Castleman owed Gained from the purchase of a wagon, and believed Gaines was hunting him down on Dec. 30, 1891 to recoup payment or meter out violence to coerce payment. |

Defendant, W. G. Hankins, and John Ford were accused of assaulting Cale DeBow. DeBow was employed as a farm hand by W. G. Hankins. Before the assault, DeBow and W. G were arguing about DeBow's contract, and W. G. accused DeBow of lying. W. G. testified that DeBow came towards him with a knife and the resulting altercation was in self-defense. |

Crenshaw was accused of the malicious shooting of Joseph Fields. Fields survived and acted as witness in the trial. Fields asserted Crenshaw and his wife developed an affair when Mrs. Fields was assisting an ill and dying Mrs. Crenshaw. After this, Mrs. Fields moved back home, where the shooting occurred. Mr. Fields was drawing water for dfnt., who was plotting with Mrs. Fields to kill Mr. Fields. Shooting occurred on Mr. Flippin's farm. Housed in 2 folders |

Martha Jane Sands & Mary Massey, married, but separated from Anderson McMahon, William's brother, went to George Love's shoe shop on evening. McMahon brothers came in asking for his boots, stating he would pay in gold. He then whispered to Sands that he wouldn't pay, threatening all with guns. McMahon walked out with the boots. Love was disabled & lived in his shop. |

On August 22, 1849, Hinon said to have assaulted Henry C. Crawford, presenting a hand gun with intent to kill. Hinon found guilty of assault, but not of felonious intent. Hinon appealed for new trial, which was refused. He was fined $10 for his offense. |
