J. M. Hoss made a general assignment to Charles E. Dosser and J. W. Hoss in 1884. Assignment was made to them in trust for the benefit of all J. M. Hoss's creditors. The deed of assignment conveyed J. M.'s homestead in Jonesboro to Dosser and J. W. Hoss. Dosser became sole assigner, and he sold the house at auction to J. M. 's father, J. W. Hoss. The Assignment of Errors (in pink jacket) is very informative and hints at fraud. |

For the benefit of his creditors, Warham Easley made to Ingersoll a general deed of assignment of all his real and personal property. Real estate included six tracts totalling 1,600 acres. Ingersoll was hampered in liquidating the estate because defendants were hounding him with liens. Identified in account ledgers are values of crops, meat, agricultural implements, labor, produce, building supplies, farm animals, debits, credits, and items such as a parasol. Numerous defendants. |

Assignment of errors bill to court for previous ruling against the Railway. Previous case states Fleming purchased a 1st class ticket on a train car owned by the company and on their property for her child and herself. She was shown into a car occupied by men and asked to be in a "ladies only" car, but was denied admittance and chose to ride on the platform until she gave in to ride in the men's car. Evidence dictates that the conductor would have protected her if she was a white woman. Sued for damages. |

Original bill was filed in an attempt to collect a provisory note due the plaintiff from the defendant for the sum of $1,358. Attached a bill for fraud as the defendant attempted to destroy property to avoid the debt, which was the result of a life insurance policy through Presbyterian Mutual Assurance. |
