Plntff. Conner elected Sheriff of Hamilton Co. in March 1870. Firm of Baxter, Champion & Ricks won a judgment of $722.52 against plntffs. after a deputy failed to execute a collection of $700 against deft. Kaylor & in favor of their firm. Plntffs. Paid the judgment. They ask the court to include them among Kaylor's creditors, & to attach all property that Kaylor owns or in which he has an interest as they believe that he is selling it in an effort to hinder & defraud his creditors. |

Incomplete casefile. County and court of origin unknown. Case may be related to "J. C. Hawkins v. Jay Vestal," located in ET 98. This was an attachment bill brought by Hawkins to attach the lands of James Vestal for payment of an alleged debt arising from a payment made by Vestal for the purchase of a tract of land. Hawkins was surety in said transaction. |

Bill concerned a track of land about 300 acres, stock, and other personal property belonging to Darden. In 1871, Judd filed an attachment bill against Byrns & Darden. No personal property was attached in Judd's case. Dispute occurred over the attachment. |
