To forbear further expense, they were sold at public auction. Timmons bought claims against Lewis & McNairy in 2 bills of exchange of $7000 and $3000. William Smith, deputy clerk, offered to buy said claims and under contract acted as middleman between both parties. Pla. Suing for title to claims and dividends. |
