Additional defendant: Oscar M. Fair, trustee. Marable was a real estate agent. He was sued for breach of warranty and sought an injunction restraining the defendant from selling his property or collecting what was due under trust deed. The defendant had made a mistake on all lots on block whereby the houses erected on said lots overlapped on the property of adjoining lotowners. Exhibit includes a map of the lots on Baxter Street. |

Waterman bought fifteen forest-covered acres in Sullivan County, selling lumber to Biddle at agreed prices. Biddle refused delivery of lumber after accepting 25K board feet. Waterman had continued to cut & process the lumber, leaving him with rotting stock. Waterman sued to recover damages from Biddle. |

Additional defendants: Solomon Miller, and Samuel H. Baxter. This case was consolidated with William Walker v. James A. Ferguson, admr., John W. Hartman, and R. M. Young Sheriff. Walker became the guardian of Martha Ferguson in 1868 and issued bond. Martha and James Ferguson married in 1870. Martha died intestate in 1871. James brought two suits against Walker as guardian for intentionally and fraudulently failing to account for certain funds. |

McDaniel was hired to build a train depot for Carnegie, TN. After gathering the building materials, Wilder cancelled the project. McDaniel sued to recover the costs of materials, plus trouble. The project was impacted by the bank panic of 1893. Wilder was a Union general, Mayor of Chattanooga, & industrialist who built the Cloudland Hotel on Roan Mtn. Wm. H. Floyd architect. Great descriptions of the building process & design. |
