View Entry | 1932 | J. I. Reece v. Carson - Newman College | Jefferson | Breach of Contract |
Plntff. has been employed at college as Dean & Prof. of Philosophy & Education since 1920. He is sued for $6000 damages, charging deft. with breach of contract on grounds that in 1925 it terminated his 3-year contract after 1 year without cause, leaving him unemployed for remainder of the "scholastic period". Deft. argues that the contract was always for 1 year only, & that the said document shows signs of alteration to make it appear to be a 3-year contract rather than a 1-year contract. 5 Folders |
