Plaintiff entered into a contract with the defendant to pay him $1,000 in return for one seventh of the proceeds of the sale of the defendant's one fourth share in a mine known as the Mobile Mine and formerly owned by the Spring Place Mining Company. Menks is a resident of Georgia and the mine rests in Fannin County Georgia on lots 54, 56 and others in the 9th district. |

E. F. Campbell and his wife had a contract on the sale of Barker's farm in Bradley County. Mr. Gordon was a tenant on the farm, & he had a disagreement with Mr. Hillard who lived on adjoining property, Campbell was inclined to evict Gordon. Barker's family moved into the farmhouse with the Gordons until they moved out. However the Barkers were unhappy that the Gordons had not vacated the house at the time the Barkers moved in. |

Moore owned a road pike, a grist mill & house for a wool carding machine. Carr & Carruthers presented themselves to Moore as millwrights & machinists. Hehired them to repair & maintain his grist mill, & rebuild the carding house. In 1853, contracted to buy the house and mill but ended up damaging the equipment. |

pla.. Harbin employed as a clerk by Congdon. Congdon, originally of NY, in Polk Co. to invest in copper-rich lands. Harbin charges that, in lieu of raising his salary of $20 per month, Congdon allowed him to make contracts for copper properties & agreed that he would have one-fourth of the "clear profits" realized from a sale of the properties. pla.. claims breach of contract, alleging that since that time Congdon has made large sums of money, but he has not received his share. |
