Additional plaintiffs: Sevier County Bank, Bank of Sevierville. The defendant was given $1304 from the D. W. James, her grandfather to buy a house on the condition that he would be able to live in the house and be taken care of due to his old age. The defendant failed to buy a house, take care of him or return any of the money.

View Entry 1926 James B. Lawson v. U. S. Andes Lumber Co. Sevier Breach of Contract

Folder contains about 25 pieces of evidence. See documents in boxes ET 68 & ET 385 for more information. In 1920 Lawson & the lumber company went into an agreement to produce lumber. Lawson would bring down the trees, producing the boards, & the lumber company old sell them. Lawson sued Lizzie Yett Cox over a note for $500. The settlement of this suit became entangled in the payments & debts of Lawson & U.S. Andes' dealings.
