Plaintiff entered into a contract with the defendant to pay him $1,000 in return for one seventh of the proceeds of the sale of the defendant's one fourth share in a mine known as the Mobile Mine and formerly owned by the Spring Place Mining Company. Menks is a resident of Georgia and the mine rests in Fannin County Georgia on lots 54, 56 and others in the 9th district. |

John Stephenson executed a deed of trust that conveyed land & a storehouse on Main St. between Adams and Jefferson St. along with black slaves to Anderson Henderson in 1849. This was to secure his wife Marianna & her children's financial future. It seems that Henderson sold the slaves without permission. |

Conner was elderly, & his wife had cancer. They were unable to care for themselves, & gave land to Marshall so he would take care of them. Marshall would pay $2k if he did not provide "nourishing food & clothes" for the couple until they died. Marshall apparently became dissatisfied with the arrangement & Conner sued to enforce the agreement, voiding the deed to the land. Incomplete case; brief only. |

Talmage made various purchases of timbered land for securing supply of wood and iron ore and made leases or contracts for the same. One such contract was with Samuel L. Stephens whose land was rich with ore. Plaintiff purchased Cove Creek Furnace. Plaintiff suing defendants to stop mining on adjacent lot. |

Additional defendants: A.L. Potts and J.P. Rogers. Henegar [alt. spelled Hennegar and Heninger] sued Jones et al. for $600-800 debt due him for labor done for defendant in 1860-1. They had entered contract in which plaintiff would deliver 100,000 staves in exchange for $9 for every 1000 staves. Plaintiff had delivered 50,000 on banks of river and was paid $300. He was ready to deliver the rest when def't told him to wait. Jones was insolvent and plaintiff suing for debt due him by the contract. |

In 1868 Perkins entered into a 1-year partnership with Ward to carry on the business in seeds, agricultural implements & etc. The partners rented the first floor of a storehouse. The defendants Ward & others were to furnish the shelving fixtures. The agreement goes on to list profit sharing and other things such as conditions affecting the termination of the partnership. |
