Plaintiffs partners under the name Chattanooga Beer Distributors, with agency for the sale of Atlas Beer. sued to collect $1,000 plus interest that they say is owed them by def.. Plaintiffs & defendant had entered a partnership in which Arrow Transfer would take over distribution of Atlas Beer & plaintiffs would withdraw after being paid $2000 by deft. Deft. paid first $1000, but not the additional monies, saying plaintiffs had no franchise rights to sell although Atlas Beer had approved the agreement.

View Entry 1935 Bessie Perrin v. R. C. Perrin Shelby Marriage, Breach of Promise

These two were married for 18 years. R.C. Perrin said he stopped loving Bessie and wanted a divorce--they separated and he stopped supporting her. He charged that living with her and all of her complaining and quarreling was unsafe and he deemed it "improper to cohabit with her." Chancellor--John E. Swepston

See also ET 899, ET 1528, & ET Oversize Box 21 (majority of case in 1528 & Oversize 21). Plaintiff had contract to create advertising for defendant. Defendant cancelled contract in order to use another ad agency. Plaintiff filed suit seeking $2,570.81 for breach of contract. Exhibit materials include numerous draft ad layouts on tracing paper, correspondence, billing, schedules for ads to appear in various publications, drafts of ad text, & 2 photographs.

The case involves the misappropriation of funds by a former employee of King's, Mark C. Bane (additional defendant). Audit reports included.

View Entry 1935 Preston H. Buquo v. Title Guaranty & Trust Co. Hamilton Breach of Contract

Plaintiff engaged the defendant to investigate his property lines & insure his title. Also took out $1500 policy with company to insure against failure of title. After assurances that everything was in order plaintiff began work on his building, only to be sued by L. W. Lynch, who claimed that the building extended 18 inches onto his property. Plaintiff lost the suit & was unable to complete his building. He sued defendant to collect the $1500 plus penalties provided by law.

Additional plaintiffs: J. A. Davis, James Trentham, W. W. Crowson, J. C. Pitner, J. W. Stanton, J. N. Delozier, Ben Maddron, A. J. Stinnett, P. L. Shults, Jas. Spurgeon, W. A. Robeson, G. H. Robeson, Richard Autry, J. A. Lawson. O. E. McMahan was the county road superintendent of Sevier County. The case is so large it is in six folders and two boxes (ET 880).

Wert is sued for breach of contract. He claims that he was to be paid a commission upon the sale of spark plug cleaners manufactured by Nolan. See ET 899 for additional part of case.
