Administrators of the estate of A.L. Ligon (dec.). sued for $2,000, the value of a one-story brick building that was lost in a fire in 1887, which was insured under a policy by the defendant company. Defendant refuses to issue policy because they claim the estate of the dec'd was not the sole owner of the property and they failed to adhere to guidelines and restrictions before the fire that void the policy.
