In 1865 W.P Davis, admr. Of James Sprouse, dec. sued A. A. Swift and J. T. Hinkle, however, Hinkle charged that the $17 judgment was invalid and illegal. According to Hinkle the judgment failed to denote to whom the money was owed or the amount. They file fieri facias to lawfully enforce the settlement of the debt. |

Lyle owned land and sold it to E. Summerley & A. Heyley, but the proper paperwork was never filed, and Lyle still legally owned the land. Then William Peoples filed a debt against Lyle and Summerley a the court. Then E. Longley purchased the land, leasing it back to Summerley. Case seeks to settle ownership of land and settle debt to Peoples. |
