Andersons said they had contract with Richmond that each would take care of their own stock since no fence between their respective farms. Justice of the Peace ruled for Plaintiffs, Circuit Court reversed & ruled for Defendants, & Plaintiffs appealed to SC. Witnesses: James Murray, U.R. Upchurch, W.G. The plaintiff made a contract with the defendant in 1888 to cultivate his land and he was to furnish the land and a mare. Each party was to bear half of the labor and the plaintiff was to feed the mare used to work the fields. After two months and before the work was done, the defendant took back the mare, halting any yield from the crops. The defendant was damaged $50 for feed provided and a breach of contract. |

Plaintiff entered into a verbal agreement with the defendant to rent a room in the defendant's building located on Gay Street in Knoxville, Tennessee. Plaintiff complained that the defendant later refused to rent said room, causing the plaintiff to be out of work (barber) for two months. Plaintiff then brought suit for breach of contract. |

Kennedy sued Allen & Phillips for breach of contract, seeking damages for a roof installed on a brick block house in Dayton, Tn. Kennedy purportedly contracted Allen & Phillips to install a steel roof warranted for three years. The roof leaked, because the roof slope was insufficient. Kennedy was allegedly told these facts & asked for the roof to be installed anyway. |

Plaintiff sued defendant for $2500 & interest, plus statutory penalty of 25% of the amount due. On Aug. 1935 plaintiff's left hand was accidentally severed above the right wrist by a saw. Doctors were able to reattach the hand, but it is essentially useless. Metropolitan Life has refused to honor the claim, although the plaintiff's policy was paid up & in force at the time the accident occurred. |
