For this case, Fowler is sued Farmsworth for trespass and damages: for breaking apart, pulling down, and destroying various panels of fence, gates, and drawbars; conveying, damaging, or carrying away $200 worth of wheat; and cutting up, destroying, and spoiling herbage for his livestock. Fowler sues for $1000 in damages. |

The railroad claimed that the colt came upon the tracks so suddenly that there was no way for the engineer to avoid hitting it. Court sided with Masoner for $2800. |

Simpson owned about 54 acres in Greene County that had a clean spring he used for water. He had a portion of his land subdivided by an engineer, and is rented for over $7500 a year. The town installed a sewage system that collected raw sewage, as well as industrial waste. The waste tends to leak and run off into the spring and stream on Simpson's property, making the water un-potable. Sued for $25,000 in damages. |
