Clarence Lovelace, member of Knoxville Bar, had office next door to Sothern's office on Market St in Knoxville, 2nd floor. Lovelace kicked out & sheriff was going to put his bookcases & books in the street, so Southern asked officer to instead place same in Sothern's office until Lovelace could make other arrangements. American Law Book Co later sued Lovelace & attached the bookcases & books, which were then sold to Whiteside. Dispute arose when Whiteside failed to pick up same or pay for storage. |
