This is an appeal. Hugh White, a resident of Kentucky, was granted a judgment against James Smith, a resident of TN, in the amount of $34 and costs. Smith claims he lent his team & wagon to John Todd, who in turn purchased a load of salt from White. John Todd signed Smith's name on purchase note, without authorization. White brought suit to recover value of 325 lbs. of salt at 50 cents/bushel: $34. |

Turner complained that Rains took possession of land to which Turner was the rightful owner and used it, appropriating the rents and profits. Son was George W. Smith. Jane Smith & mom Nancy Kincaid died in 1824. Then Defendant began living on the land & at some point purchased Plaintiff's interest in the land via execution sale. Dispute is over Plaintiff's attempt to redeem his interest. |

Miller was administrator of John Miller's estate, and Brown complained that the estate owed him for a debt of $32.97. The suit began in 1867.Entered into the record was a list of work performed for the late Miller: items such as hauling turkeys; a whiskey barrel (and much whiskey); ten days of work at fifty cents a day; hauling 2,200 pounds of bacon and lard; and waiting on John Miller when he was ill, deranged, and difficult to care for. Case provides a look at labor customs and the value of labor. |

The defendant had an insurance policy with the defendant for $1,500 of coverage on his house, barn, and all of the property within. In 1926, the plaintiff's barn caught fire and it and all its contents were destroyed. From the proof of loss, the plaintiff claims that $500 should be secured on the barn, but the defendant refuses to settle with the plaintiff, even after several attempts. Plaintiff filed to recover the $500 covered by his policy. |

Gallagher and McGuire bought a tract of land together, built a storehouse, and started a business that dealt in dry goods. McGuire then conveyed the lot and storehouse to J. W. McCarty. Gallagher sued to have McCarty's deed declared a cloud on his rightful title. McCarty's title voided, and rent and debts due for use of the land paid. |
