Plaintiffs: D. R. Samuel and W. B. Samuel. Defendants: F. A. Crittenden and A. J. Scott. Plaintiffs claim they leased their saw mill to the defendants for 5 months at .50 per 1,000 ft. of lumber sawed up to $400 per month. A "lack of water" clause… stipulated an agreement if the river was too low to float logs. Plaintiffs also claim damages for loss of logging stock and equipment. Defendants denied the claims.

The plaintiffs and defendants are the heirs of Hardy Jones dec. At his death, Hardy's will transferred property to his wife Elizabeth Jones, who is also now deceased. Since the death of Elizabeth there has been a question as to how the estate's real property is to be divided. Casefile notes that Rupert was a slave owner before the Civil War.

The men had joint ownership of a drug store and automobile dealership. Morelock agreed to sell his half, but Leeper had a right to audit him for any indebtedness that he had acquired during their partnership. Leeper dec. and the dispute passed on to admr. J.A. Leeper. Case is spread over four boxes- all of box ET 766, 1504 pages, all of box ET 1409, 2190 pages, all of ET 1410, receipts, and 858 pages in ET 784.
